Old brickworks Speyer, preparation for construction

The Erlus site in Speyer, formerly used for commercial purposes, in the direct vicinity of Speyer's lively old town, was to be converted into a residential area.

After IBL Umwelt- und Biotechnik had completed the examination of the buildings for pollutants and the planning of the deconstruction work, it took over the supervision of the deconstruction work. The deconstruction work began at the beginning of January 2013. In parallel, expert reports on the contaminated site situation prepared in advance were evaluated and supplementary investigations of suspected contaminated sites as well as waste technical investigations of the subsoil were carried out. Geotechnical investigations were carried out for the planned development and flood protection.
