Partial deconstruction while retaining a partial building and basement for future energy facilities

Alongside the old railway depot and the signal boxes, the goods warehouses are among the few remaining relics of former railway use and therefore have a special identity-building effect on the Bahnstadt district. The city of Heidelberg acquired the warehouses with the aim of providing a permanent cultural venue. In the course of this, the head building in Zollhofstraße was deconstructed while retaining the remaining parts of the building and part of the basement.
