Once again this year, we at M&P cultivated our favourite carnival tradition. A moment in the year that many of us look forward to weeks in advance. As always, we gathered in the office shortly before 12 noon to immerse ourselves in the carnival atmosphere together. Some came dressed up, colourful and creative, others were simply looking forward to the special atmosphere that makes this day so distinctive.
The doughnuts were unpacked just in time for lunchtime - fresh, fragrant and the secret highlight for many. Classic with icing sugar or sugar and filled with jam or plum jam: Snacking together every year is a small ritual that not only strengthens the stomach, but also the sense of community. As usual, the whole thing was accompanied by typical carnival music, which immediately put everyone in a good mood. Between laughter, conversations and spontaneous dance interludes, the feeling quickly arose that the „fifth season“ also has a permanent place in our office.
After we had fortified ourselves and got into the mood, some of us set off together in the early afternoon for the big Heidelberg carnival parade at 14:11. For many, this visit is an integral part of the day. A short excursion from everyday working life into the colourful city life of Heidelberg. Colourful floats, loud music, dance groups and countless cheerful people ensured that the day was unforgettable in the best carnival weather.
So our carnival tradition remains an annual event that not only brings us together, but also reminds us how nice it is to celebrate little times out together. We are already looking forward to next year - when it's time to say: Helau and Alaaf at MuP!
