With a total investment of around <strong>557 million euros<\/strong>, a usable area of about <strong>22.500 m\u00b2<\/strong> and <strong>235 beds<\/strong> a state-of-the-art, fully digital hospital for cutting-edge cardiological medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the run-up to this major project <strong>M&amp;P Umwelttechnik - Member of the SIERA Alliance <\/strong>&nbsp;a central role: the <strong>Planning, monitoring and supervision of the complete site clearance<\/strong>. This demanding task required not only comprehensive technical expertise, but also the utmost sensitivity to the ongoing operation of the clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The new Heidelberg Heart Centre - a project with exemplary character<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In future, all areas of modern cardiac medicine will be brought together under one roof in the new heart centre<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further information on the project and the interplay between medicine, digitalisation and research can be found at<br \/><br \/>\ud83d\udc49 <a href=\"https:\/\/spatenstich.herzzentrum-ukhd.de\/\"><strong>Groundbreaking ceremony for the Heart Centre and Informatics for Life: Heart Centre Heidelberg<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The building is <strong>Fully digital hospital<\/strong> and is designed to set new standards for medical care, research and clinical processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Initial situation: A highly complex construction site in the hospital centre<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Before work could begin on the new building, the planned construction site had to be cleared. The range of services included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Technical inspections of the existing buildings for pollutants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning of site clearance and preparation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring the dismantling work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordination of all environmental and safety-related measures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This integrated approach ensured that all work was carried out safely, in compliance with regulations and in line with hospital operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dismantling under special conditions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The work to clear and prepare the site took place in <strong>from January 2024 to November 2025<\/strong> took place during the ongoing operations of Heidelberg University Hospital. This placed extraordinary demands on planning and monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Special challenges at a glance<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Noise and dust protection<\/strong><br \/>Extensive protective measures were required to ensure that patients, staff and visitors were not affected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dismantling next to escape routes<\/strong><br \/>An approximately <strong>15 metre high building<\/strong> had to be dismantled without blocking or relocating an immediately adjacent driveway for emergency vehicles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aviation law requirements<\/strong><br \/>Due to the neighbouring <strong>Approach path for rescue helicopters<\/strong> special regulations had to be observed when using the long front excavator and crane.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>These framework conditions made precise planning and continuous construction supervision essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Technical precision meets responsibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The importance of experience and interdisciplinary expertise is particularly evident in projects in the medical environment.
